ABSTRACT
Authors present the case of an 83-year old male with the dual chamber pacemaker implanted due to a tachycardia-bradycardia syndrome and with an incessant form of atrioventricular nodal re-entrant tachycardia (AVNRT). Intracardiac electrogram with the retrograde atrial depolarization helps to establish the diagnosis of the AVNRT. In order to prevent tachycardiomiopathy and to avoid reduced health-related quality of life it had been decided to perform an early successful radiofrequency ablation.
