ABSTRACT
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common clinically significant cardiac arrhythmia, and it is associated with higher morbidity and mortality. However, treatment options for AF are still limited and often not effective. Studies indicated that statins might be associated with a decreased risk of incidence or recurrence of AF. The following review summarizes the key findings of the recent published studies.
